Overbraiding Capabilities 

Varflex's custom capabilities and solutions for high temperature electrical sleeve and overbraided electrical protection for wires, cables and wire harnesses

Varflex does all of it's braiding in house. Our braided sleevings have a balanced tube shape and are manufactured to precise inside diameter measurements, without distortions.

Overbraiding is a versatile and cost effective method for protecting any cable or wire harness using a wide range of fibers including Fiberglass, Nylon, Nomex®, Kevlar®, Polyester, and Polypropylene.

​

"Custom overbraiding" uses different braided design configurations with materials produced by the customer or Varflex. Overbraiding adds an extra layer of insulation that provides protection in applications where high temperatures, excessive abrasion, harmful chemicals, oils or moisture are present.

Braiding Capabilities

Varflex is very flexible in the types of products we can produce. We are in no way limited to specific products. Varflex can braid practically any continuous fiber, wire-like substance or a combination of several materials.

Varglas Acrylic Double Wall

Overbraid with a secondary fiberglass braid which provides added physical protection and is highly suitable for absorption and retention of low viscosity solvent and solvent-less resins utilized during impregnation and drain cycles.
