Custom Product Capabilities
Varflex prides itself on making electrical sleeving products that are flexible, but so are our capabilities. Specialty products can be used in traditional and non-traditional industrial & commercial applications.

Our braiding machines can braid a variety of yarns and filaments. Our research & development staff is consistently developing custom coatings and treatments to produce specialized sleevings for new clients all over the world. Varflex has the capabilities to overbraid just about anything from a single twisted pair, double pair and triple pair to a kevlar overbraid, wire overbraid and vinyl overbraid.

If you have a requirement that is not satisfied by our standard products, you can request a “custom product” such as:
Custom Braiding
Copper Wire, Nomex Braids, Natural Nylon w/ Black Tracer
We can produce multiple sizes and thickness using different yarns and colors.

Yarns include but are not limited to Fiberglass, Nylon, Nomex®, Kevlar®, Basalt, Silica, Polyester, Polypropylene & metallic filaments.

Yarns supplied by customers & identification traces are available upon request.
Insulator Tape
Silicone Coated Flat Tape, Insulating Tape
Varflex is able to manufacture both flat and insulator tapes in many widths and thicknesses.
Insulator tapes can be made to accommodate up to six spaces for needed insulation.
Specialty Coatings & Treatments
Fluorescent Acrylics, Viton Coated Kevlar
Varflex is able to coat most yarns we braid to meet both industry specifications & customer's needs.
Additional Capabilities
Capabilities include, but are not limited to cutting, stapling, sewing and striping.
Tying & Lacing Cords- Rounded braided lacing cord has acrylic coating for additional abrasion protection. Continuous filament fiberglass cords impregnated with silicone resin. 1/64" to 1/8" diameter. Specify type 46 for dry cure, type 48 for tacky cure.

Gasket Materials- provide good compressibility, strength and limited relaxation.
